SOCIAL MEDIA CAPTION SAMPLES
Like a lot of people, weβve found ourselves struggling with what parts of sustainable living to prioritize & highlight in the face of constant demoralizing news- climate related or not. Itβs easy to feel like thereβs nothing you can do, but that has never been true. You might not be able to change laws or end wars all on your own, but you can make an impact in your community, find purpose & hope, & join the fight for a better world.
Let's talk through a few realistic ways to combat hopelessness & feel productive. π

Plastic Free July is a great time to learn all about how prevalent plastic is in our lives. Recycling is not a perfect solution, but it can divert plastic waste from the landfill. Itβs not practical or possible to completely avoid plastic, but do you know what to do with the plastic that you do have?
A lot of plastic products arenβt recyclable in standard municipal facilities, and knowing what the recycling number labels mean is an important part of being responsible about your plastic consumption and waste! Reuse whenever possible, reduce what you buy, and recycle what you can!

Happy Juneteenth! β€οΈππ
Today marks the anniversary of the unofficial end of slavery in the United States, when emancipation was finally enforced in Galveston, TX after the end of the Civil War.
This holiday is all about celebrating black Americans, reflecting on their past, and joining the continuing fight for their liberation.
Environmental justice is a cornerstone of sustainability, and this movement canβt move forward without considering and including black people. Justice and freedom are for all of us or none of us.

At the grocery store, at the farmer's market, or maybe even in your garden, you can find tons of delicious fruit and veggies that are fresh and in-season during Summer. Buying seasonal produce not only supports farmers in your community, it's also a lot better for the Earth!
What's your fave from this season?
